Service Description
An Ascites Ultrasound is a safe, noninvasive examination used to detect and evaluate the presence of fluid (ascites) within the abdominal cavity. Ultrasound is highly sensitive for identifying even small amounts of fluid and can help determine its location and extent. This examination is commonly performed for patients with liver disease, abdominal swelling, cancer, infection, kidney disease, heart failure, or following abdominal surgery. The procedure is painless, uses no radiation, and typically takes 15–30 minutes.
