Segmental Pressure Study
Measures blood pressure at multiple levels of the legs to identify the location of arterial disease.
Service Description
A Segmental Pressure Study is a comprehensive, noninvasive vascular examination that measures blood pressure at multiple levels of the legs, including the thighs, calves, ankles, and, when indicated, the toes. By comparing pressure measurements between each segment, this study helps identify the presence, location, and severity of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). The examination is commonly performed to evaluate leg pain while walking, poor circulation, nonhealing wounds, or abnormal ABI results. It may also be used before or after vascular procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, or bypass surgery, to assess blood flow and monitor treatment.
